Winter

I've been working on a new piece. Winter of '34. Starring my grandmother. I think this was taken after their house exploded from a gas problem in the 30s. The house burnt to the ground and my grandfather was injured in the explosion. He survived but I think it was a rough winter. They lived in the summer kitchen that was dragged for the house with a team of horses.  9 kids and my grandparents spent the winter rammed together in one room. It couldn't have been easy but they did rebuild a more spacious house. This is the summer kitchen in the background. I remember seeing it when I was a kid, it was used for storage and was destroyed at some point.


Bob is spending time on the couch if he is not in my lap. We had snow so that meant time under cover.
