Hit and Miss

It's been a while. 26 Tires got some very minimal work done and then I spent 7 days in the hospital battling a foot infection. I am not out of the woods yet. On IV antibiotics daily and weak as a kitten, I have said hello to the floor or wall once or twice. It will take some time to get my self regulated to being diabetic. Goodbye Pepsi.  Poor Bobby's walks are around the yard. We were set to go for a walk this morning and someone's dog was loose and went after him. Same dog was loose and killed a cat in front of my neighbors house yesterday. Nice!
Life goes on, prayers are always needed and thanked!

Ever have a day where you just don't feel like yourself?

It's here!

This should be fun, it covers my design board! I am contemplating the stitching and where I will add color if at all.

The crit group I belong to is on it's way over from the east side of Cleveland. I can unveil the newly finished Joe in the Garden of Eating and they get  preview of 26 Flat Tires.

Back to the salad fixings, fennel and chives from the garden and a strawberry pie.

Now I Wait

For my next piece of fabric. Which should be here today or tomorrow, maybe Saturday?!
Joe in the Garden of Eating is finished. 39.5" W x 32" H. I thought there would be some hand stitching but I removed it after I did a sample. Done!

And a detail, love all the different colors in what seemed to be a monochromatic print.

Next up is a photo a friend gave me of her dad on a trip out west, taken maybe in the thirties. Black and white. 72" long x 42" deep at the start, shrinkage occurs with the stitching. I need to check my stock of gray thread.
