On the Design Board

This is my grandfather when he was in WWI part of the infantry. Supposedly he was gassed but I am not totally sure if that is true. I am calling this one Battle Flag. He was in the Canadian forces, hence to background very loosely based on the Canadian flag. They changed to the maple leaf theme in the 80s I believe.  This is coffee stained chiffon over various commercial fabrics primarily red mattress ticking. It will include various hand "mends" to holes and rips I have put on it.
