Tis the Time of Year. . .
to spend time in the kitchen.
This is a photo of my grandma, whom we all called Mom. She is on the far right. The back of the photo said Martha's wedding. Who was Martha and why are these four ladies dressed up but wearing aprons? I think they were making wedding food, I gave them all little flowers as a thank you from Martha. This is one of my first experiments adding colored thread to a black and white print, or in this case, a sepia print. I found it rather dull when I got it back from Spoonflower but the color brightened it up.
The boxes on the wall are cigar boxes that I added doll house doors or windows too and decorated the insides with paper, etc. One has a pull-out fabric book with photos in it.
